In: Recent News
Congratulations to Dr. JoLee Sasakamoose and the incoming Mushkeeki Gitigan (Medicine Garden) team for their recent award from the University of Regina Faculty of Education (CERCD) of $10,500 towards establishing an evidence-informed model of care for working with Indigenous Elders in the Treaty 4 area who are currently in isolation due to COVID-19.
An important piece of this undertaking is the creation and distribution of immune-sparking Winter Kits full of traditional foods and medicines for isolated Elders through COVID-19, which will be provided along with weekly meal delivery, and weekly wellness check ins for approximately 70 vulnerable individuals in isolation in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
